●WHITE ROOM 拠点復活のお知らせ

ホワイトルームは 1993〜2001まで 南はりまや町で やっていたギャラリー。
この秋再オープンされるそうです。
ひとまず1Fのエレキ食堂先行のOPENとのこと。
大学の先輩や同期の男子学生が展覧会をやった時に行ったことが有り、
その時はかなり現代アート寄りの内容のものを開催していたと記憶しています。
私が足を運んだのは、多分1999〜2000のいつか2回ほどだと思うのですが。
当時は、今のように自分が作家になったりギャラリースタッフになったり
ART NPOとして活動するとは夢にも思っていなくて、 学校の美術の先生になる事しか
考えてなかったので、かなりわけがわからずに見に行ったと思うのですが、
大学の外にはとても活動的な場所が有るのだなと思ったのを覚えています。
2Fのギャラリーが動き始めたら、また新しいアート拠点が高知の街の真ん中に１つ増えます。
どんな展開がくり広げられるのでしょうか。楽しみですね。
